A. The Induction hardening process allows for heat treat of specific areas on components, with less distortion and superior mechanical properties compared to traditional heat treat methods. By heat treating the surface of the component to a controlled depth, exceptional surface hardness and strength can be achieved. The core of the part can remain unaffected, resulting in superior flexibility and over all toughness. This process is ideal for power transmission shafts and spindles.
